CHAYA D. STEPNEY, J.D., C.P.A., LL.M.
Attorney Chaya D. Stepney practices in the state and federal courts of Illinois and New Jersey, as well as, the United States Tax Court. She is experienced in the administration of trusts and estates for decedents, minors and disabled adults subject to guardianship. In addition, she has drafted and implemented estate plans from simple wills to comprehensive succession plans for high net-worth individuals with family businesses. She has represented both individuals and businesses before the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax authorities. Attorney Stepney has served as both seller's and buyer's counsel in numerous residential and commercial real estate transactions, including short sales, foreclosure sales, and sales attendant to bankruptcy proceedings. She has also organized multiple for profit and non-profit organizations, including applying for the respective tax exemptions.
